Terms of Service

Counselling and psychotherapy are intensely personal processes that involve collaborative engagement between the therapist and the client(s). Respectively, it is important that each party recognize their rights and responsibilities, as well as legal limitations to these rights, regarding the underlying services.

Confidentiality

Your therapist is obligated to comply with the Code of Ethics (COE) and guidelines of their registered professional association. Your therapist will make the best effort to protect your privacy and confidentiality, however, they are obligated to release information when there is a significant risk of harm to you or others.
Your therapist will not disclose identifiable and sensitive information about their clients and take steps to prevent unauthorized disclosure. At the same time, it is also your responsibility to ensure that the chosen location is of a distraction-free environment.
All therapists receive regular supervision in order to improve their practice and give you the best service. Particulars of your case may be discussed during supervision, however, no identifiable information such as your name would be released. In this instance, anonymity and will be maintained and confidentiality will not be breached.

Appointments

Given that the services are to be delivered via Zoom, there are also certain limits to confidentiality regarding the cybersecurity, privacy policy, and encryption of the application. We also highly recommend that you avoid using Wireless Internet hotspots and public computer terminals.
You are responsible to attend your appointed session on time. If you are late, your session will still need to end on time.

Technological Disruptions

There is also a possibility that the session may be interrupted due to technical problems. In the case where the online session is constantly interrupted, the therapist may use voice call as an alternative continued service or reschedule the session altogether. This alternative arrangement needs to be mutually agreed upon by both you and your therapist.

Professional Fees

The payment is to be made only in full amount, prior to your session. Payment is to be paid by manual payment (bank transfer), by credit or debit card through PayPal, or by PayPal payment.
If you would like to reschedule your session, you must give us a 24 hours notice.
